In 1928 Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Aldridge hired architects Richard Requa and Herbert Louis Jackson to draw plans to create major additions to a small cottage at 801 Tolita Avenue. That house as you see it today is the result of that alteration and 801 Tolita has already been designated a Coronado historic resource. In 1947 that property, 801 Tolita Avenue, was sold by Mrs. Daisy Aldridge to Eleanor and Stan Ring. The property was divided and a new structure was built at 811 Tolita Ave. The original garage/apartment for 801, which was designed by Requa and Jackson, became part of the new property at 811 Tolita. This garage/apartment had always had a separate address of 814 Encino Lane. The structure at 811 Tolita was built in 1948 as a small three bedroom structure.
